FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

P
RLog (Press Release)Feb 06, 2011 – Over the past weeks we have been asked as to what is happening with all the promoting that we have been doing since the Fall of 2010 about The 'X' Zone Radio Show being on NNTV, which had been renamed from Niagara Now TV to Niagara News TV.

We had been told by Peter Hayman, who was the CEO of NNTV, at their offices in Niagara-on-the-Lake, after several meetings, that The 'X' Zone Radio Show with Rob McConnell, was part of the NNTV programming line-up along with other programs which had been featured on the NNTV trailer that can be viewed on The 'X' Zone YouTube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9di6OzXcwg.

As you can see, this video was added to our YouTube Channel on August 25 2010, after the trailer had been shown to Rob McConnell, the host and creator of The 'X' Zone Radio Show at a meeting at the NNTV offices in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Hayman supplied the link to McConnell for the trailer and told McConnell, that he could start promoting The 'X' Zone Radio Show with Rob McConnell starting on NNTV on the network start date, November 7 2010.

The 'X' Zone Radio Show was to be aired LIVE, Monday to Friday from 10 pm - 12 pm Eastern, broadcast from the NNTV theatre studio on Queen Street in Niagara Falls, where the show would be carried by the 'X' Zone Radio Show affiliates and networks, as well as audio and video streaming on the internet.

Viewers of the NNTV and radio affiliates would be able to interact with McConnell and his guests via telephone, Skype, email and instant messaging.

Hayman had told McConnell that there were three shows that NNTV would be handling that he wanted to syndicate and The 'X' Zone was one of them.

REL-MAR McConnell Media Company, the parent corporation of The 'X' Zone Radio & TV Show immediately started promoting The 'X' Zone on NNTV including on air promotions during the broadcast of The 'X' Zone Radio & TV Show, commercials in The 'X' Zone Radio Show podcasts which were available at www.xzonepodcast.com and The 'X' Zone Apple iTunes Store at http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=295327298, a webpage dedicated to NNTV at http://www.xzoneradiotv.com/nntv.htm, the NNTV trailer on The 'X' Zone YouTube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9di6OzXcwg as well as several press release promoting The 'X' Zone Radio Show with Rob McConnell on NNTV and NNTV.

In a meeting with Peter Hayman, the CEO of NNTV at the NNTV Niagara Falls Queen Street theatre in the beginning of October 2010, just weeks before the scheduled start date of NNTV, Hayman told McConnell that NNTV, that the launch of NNTV would be later in the winter of 2010 or 2011.

Hayman assured McConnell at that point that The 'X' Zone Radio Show was still part of the NNTV programming schedule.

REL-MAR McConnell Media Company and McConnell over the winter months had tried to communicate with NNTV and Hayman to rearrange the 'X' Zone broadcast schedule to once again accommodate the NNTV start date - all communication attempts failed.

Hayman has not responded to McConnell via email, telephone or BlackBerry Messenger. No other member of NNTV returned any of the messages or correspondences sent to NNTV or at the contact information that had been used between McConnell and NNTV in the past.

As recent as Monday, January 31 2011, when, for the first time the NNTV website at www.nntv.ca could finally be accessed, an email was sent to the contact address that was showing on the website, mailto:info@nntv.ca, seeking information and clarification, which, once again, went unanswered by NNTV.

The 'X' Zone Radio Show had been broadcast in Niagara from 1220 CHSC, NewsTalk 610 CKTB (where McConnell was Executive Producer and Promotions Director) and CFBU - being no stranger to the Niagara Region - covering events throughout Niagara for NewsTalk 610 CKTB including breaking news, human interest stories, election coverage and promotional events, as well as broadcasting The 'X' Zone Radio Show weekends from the 610 CKTB Studios and sitting in for various show hosts.

Since leaving CKTB in 2001, The 'X' Zone Radio Show has been syndicated internationally first by the LWRN in the US and since 2004 by the TalkStar Radio Network and REL-MAR McConnell Media Company's own XZBN ('X' Zone Broadcast Network).
