ROBERT (JAVABOB) SCHMALZBACH - Searching for Bigfoot - JavaBob is a 61 year old business man and entrepreneur now living in Northern California. Bob recently retired from a twenty plus year career in the High Tech field where he worked as an Equipment Engineering Manager for companies as diverse as; AT&T (Bell Labs-Technology Division), Honeywell, and Integrated Device Technology. He has a "hands on", scientific approach to problem solving and a strong creative side. His passion has been for developing and running small businesses. Examples of these businesses are; Bob's Main Street Market, Independent Grocer's Services, Indian Creek Café, and JavaBob's Bigfoot Deli. Bob was a member of the Technical Advisory Board for De Anza College, the founder and first President of the Happy Camp Fire Safe Council, the President of the Happy Camp Chamber of Commerce, and he served as a founding member of the Siskiyou County Fire Safe Council. Bob, along with his wife Vickie, worked as Co-Chairman of an ad hoc committee to write the bill that got Public Law 94-142, Education of All Handicapped Children Act passed into law in 1975, and to this day remains very active in working with "special people" through out his community. JOSEPH NIEZGODA - The Lennon Prophecy - For weeks in 1964, Joseph Niezgoda looked forward to February 7. It would be his 8th birthday. What he didn't know was that February 7 would also be the day his life would change - the day The Beatles landed in America. Two nights later Niezgoda sat with his family, the television was tuned to The Ed Sullivan Show and, like most young Americans, he was mesmerized. After watching the show he became a true life long Beatle fan and began collecting magazines, posters, books and albums. Then on December 8, 1980, Lennon was shot and killed in New York City. After a lifetime of listening, reading studying and pouring over Beatle material the many confusing questions razed from countless clues, backward masking, and pictures all began to fall into place. While the world was focused on the madman tendencies of Lennon's murderer, Niezgoda sensed something completely different: He noticed that John Lennon may well have sold his soul to the devil, and that the assassination was merely Satan collecting his due. Over the next 20 years, Niezgoda read countless books detailing Lennon's life, and even more clues arose. He listened to all of Lennon's songs, and scores of lyrics that had once seemed innocent suddenly resounded with a new and sinister meaning. He reviewed photographs and noticed formerly inconspicuous details that now seemed so telling and so clear. As the owner of Stein Design & Construction, he has built hurricane resistant, energy efficient and environmentally friendly homes. The mechanical engineering side of his firm specializes in product design and development. Among other things, Mat has designed consumer water filtration devices, photovoltaic roofing panels, medical bacteriological filters, emergency chemical drench systems, computer disk drives, and portable fiberglass buildings. Stein is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. He is an active mountain climber and serves as a guide and instructor for blind skiers with the Ski for Light cross-country program.
